I love Autumn.
The colours of the deciduous trees as their leaves are preparing to drop are more spectacular than NYE fireworks.
It’s a great time of year to think about planting:
- Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Camelias, Roses and Citrus trees,
- Perennials and Annuals,
- Bulbs like Daffodils, Hyacinth, Lillies and Tulips,
- Vegetables like Broadbeans, Snow Peas, Cabbage, Lettuce, Onions, Shallots and Strawberrys,
It’s also nearly time to cut back Dahlias and other spent perennials.
Fallen leaves can also be composted to return to your garden in spring.
Lawns need care also. It’s a great time to start treating winter grass which could be ruining the look of your turf.
It’s also a great time to start organising a garden makeover.
